How to use the portals

Choose who you are, switch on Edit mode to change the draft, and an admin publishes it.

1. Choose who you are

At the top right of every portal, the user list switches between the demo users. Each has a role:

Viewer	reads the published version only
Methodology editor	deliverables, activities, phases, workstreams and version details, in the draft
Agent editor	adds, edits and retires agents
Admin	everything, including shared lists, users and publishing

2. Edit mode

Editors and admins see an Edit mode switch at the end of the Admin row, under the header (viewers do not). With it on, pages show the draft, a yellow banner says so, and Edit, Add and Retire buttons appear. Missing minimum fields show as "To add"; viewers see "Not documented yet". While a form has unsaved changes, a bar at the top offers Save or Discard before you leave.

3. Draft and publish

All method changes go into one draft version. On the Versions page (in the Admin row under the header, for editors and admins) an editor can preview the draft as a viewer would see it and compare it with the published version. An admin runs the publish checks (errors block publishing; warnings and changed figures are shown) and publishes. Then "Start next draft" opens the next round.
